Caorle
Caorle is a versatile town where sea and beach mingle with history and tradition. Situated on the Adriatic Coast between Venice and Trieste, Caorle was founded at least 2000 years ago, according to the historian Trino Bottani (1811) who claimed that the Roman fleet had been stationated there since 238 BC, and the roman remains found in the territory and in the sea testify this fact. The fishing harbour is situated in the historic centre that has become a pedestrian zone: old houses painted in light pastel colours, lanes and squares, recalling the Venetian Style and creating a magical atmosphere. The Church of the Madonna dell'Angelo, situated on the rocks at sea, record the love of fishing of the seafaring people from Caorle.

Venice
Venice rises on an archipelago of about one houndred islets of different shapes and sizes separated by numerous canals "rio". The main one, overlooked by the most beautiful palazzi, is called Canal Grande. This s-shaped canal splits the city into two uneven parts. The tide alone is almost enough to clean up the canals (whose water, otherwise, would stagnate). The city is divided into areas called Sestieres because they are 6, ineed: San Marco, Castello, Cannareggio, Santa Croce, San Polo e Dorsoduro.
Its Islands
Murano is arguably the most famous island in the Lagoon of Venice, a center of the glassmaking industry which represents an art that by tradition has been handed down from father to son. Consequently, you shouldn't skip a tour of the famous glass-blowing workshops, of the Basilica of San Donato and naturally of the invaluable Glass Museum.
Burano is located about 30 minutes by boat from Murano, and still inhabited, by fishermen. Together with the Island of Torcello, its forms the most classic itinerary to the estuary islands. You'll find here the most typical Lagoon atmosphere, both from the human and urban points of view. Here a museum helps you to discover the secrets and wonders of "the most noble and most Italian of laces". Burano is also a painters' favorite thanks to its small houses that are painted with lovely colors and suspended between a blue sky and agreen lagoon.
Torcello lying isolated among deserted sandbars some ten minutes by boat from Burano, this island was once the Lagoon capital. Up until the 16th Century it was one of the primary and most fournishing settlements in the Lagoon area. All that remains today to recall that long-gone glory are two jewels: the centuries-old Cathedral and the Church of Santa Fosca. You should also visit the Museum of the Estuary, wich offers noteworthy archeological finds, the leggendary Attila's Throne and the austere Medioeval tower, from whose top you can enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Venice Lagoon.
Concordia Sagittaria
Concordia faces Lemene with the sixteenth century Town Hall on the river bank, with Palazzo dei Vescovi one of the oldest European Diocese with the Santo Stefano Cathedral Bell Tower rising above the houses. The "Sepolcro dei Militi", a necropolis overflowing with latin inscriptions, was discovered in 1873, bas-relief sculptures preserved in the National Concordia Museum of Portogruaro, built especially for that purpose. And then the Roman bridge of via San Pietro; the bath of via Claudia; the ruins of the teathre; the mosaics that blossom in the countryside; the Decumanus Maximus: the central heavily paved road that re-emerged recently in the square. By looking down at the excavations by the side of the cathedral the Trichora Martyrium ruins can still be seen clearly. To finish, behind the Cathedral, in the shade of the Roman tower of 1150, the Baptistery of the XI century stands: the most perfect and consistent construction of the Christian-Medieval town.
